Hi, I’m Brendan. Some people know me as “The Anxiety Guy”, or “The ADHD Guy”. I work with men who are having difficulties with the daily impact of Anxiety and/or ADHD. I’m here to work alongside you to reduce your feelings of overwhelm, stress, and anxiety. I pride myself on being someone who “gets it” because I have been there myself.
As someone who has ADHD, lives with chronic health conditions and has had an anxiety disorder, I understand what it feels like to deal with everything that comes with these challenges and struggles. I won’t just be working on you with things I have read in a book once, or heard in a podcast last year. The strategies and techniques that I use are tried-and-tested techniques that I have actually used on a daily or weekly basis.
I understand that it likely feels like you are stuck & things will never get better. But there is hope, and you are not alone. I am committed to supporting and working alongside you and will listen, empathize, and guide you towards healing.
If you are here because your body is stuck on high alert and your mind is filled with everything that could go wrong, you belong here. You feel constant dread and are tired of people telling you to calm down and stop worrying about it. Avoiding the panic is shrinking your world, and you are tired of trying to explain this dread to people who do not get it. The fear keeps you up at night, ruins your focus, and makes you avoid the things you used to love.
You think you are broken. You assume this is just who you are.
But that is not true.
Your mind and body are just stuck in an activated position, because that’s all it knows. But there is hope. I know this because I lived it. I had my first panic attack at fifteen, was diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder, and spent a decade terrified of my own nervous system before I learned how to find ease in my life again.
Now, I help adults and teenagers manage and overcome their anxiety.
I am warm and understanding, yet practical. I will give you tools to use between sessions. I will push you to notice what your mind is doing and challenge your assumptions. We will not spend months talking in circles. We will explore how your nervous system operates so you can stop being held hostage by it.
In session, I provide a space where you don’t have to pretend. We will learn how to pause and notice the ways your mind tricks you, develop ways to slow down and breathe even when that feels impossible, and find ways to loosen anxiety’s grip on your life. I will explore what you’ve tried before, analyze what has worked and what hasn’t, and develop a personalized plan to tackle your anxiety. We will add coping skills to your toolbox to help you process your thoughts and feelings and deal with daily challenges. I can also help you build confidence, increase self-esteem, and find purpose.
If you are ready to stop fighting your body and take the wheel again, book a free 15-minute consult here.
When I am not working, you might find me headbanging to my favourite rock or metal song, trying to keep my ever growing army of succulents alive, or spending hours pointing my massive camera lens at a tree, waiting for that perfect shot of a baby bird.

Therapy is a collaborative process where you work with a professional to understand your emotions, patterns, and behaviors. It provides you with a safe space to develop practical coping strategies, improve your relationships, and gain clarity on personal challenges.
Yes. Services delivered via phone or video have been shown to be just as effective as face-to-face treatment with added benefits, from being able to do sessions from the comfort of your own home.
Additional benefits of virtual treatment may include:
Our first meeting is an initial assessment where we discuss your history, current concerns, and goals for therapy. It is also an opportunity for us to see if we are a good fit and for you to ask any questions about how I work.
Many extended health benefit plans cover services provided by Registered Psychotherapists. I recommend contacting your insurance provider to confirm your specific coverage details and any annual limits.
The duration of therapy varies depending on your unique needs and the complexity of the goals you wish to achieve. Most clients find some relief after a few sessions, with most seeing results in a few months of focused work, while others prefer ongoing support for deeper personal growth.
We have a 48 hour cancellation policy. Each appointment is booked specifically for you. The full fee is charged for no shows/cancellations with less than 24 hours notice, and 50% of the fee is charged for cancellations between 24-48 hours notice.
